Edit your profile here. It goes live on Google.
Most tools are read-only or send you off to Google to make the change yourself. Angryturtle edits and writes back. A live "how it looks on Google" preview shows the cover, logo, name, rating, category and status while you edit name, description, phone, website, address, business hours, special and holiday hours, categories (with a live Google category picker) and service areas — and your changes push straight to Google.
In brief
Yes. Angryturtle writes back through the Google Business Profile API, so edits to your name, description, contact details, address, hours, categories and service areas push straight to Google rather than sitting in a separate dashboard.

This is the part that's actually rare
Say it plainly: changes made here push straight to Google. Not a queue, not an export you email to yourself, not a dashboard that mirrors Google's data while leaving the actual editing to a separate login on business.google.com. Angryturtle writes through the Google Business Profile API, and that write-back is confirmed working today. Most tools in this category are read-only, or write back a narrow slice of fields and send everything else back to Google's own interface. That gap between "shows you the problem" and "lets you fix the problem in the same place" is most of the reason this category of software exists at all, and it's also where most of it quietly stops delivering.
What "read-only" actually costs a business
Picture the ordinary version of this workflow without write-back: a health score flags that the business hours are wrong, the owner has to open a second tab, log into a separate Google account, remember which of three admin emails has ownership, find the hours field, update it, and hope it takes. Multiply that by four listings and a holiday season and it simply doesn't happen — not because anyone doesn't care, but because friction wins against good intentions almost every time. The fix here removes exactly that friction: name, description, phone, website, address, business hours, special and holiday hours, categories through a live Google category picker, and service areas all edit in one place, and the live "how it looks on Google" preview shows the cover, logo, rating and status as they'll actually appear before anything is saved.
Reading the preview honestly
The preview is a mirror, not a guarantee. It shows what the change will look like once Google accepts it, and Google can still take a few hours to reflect an edit, occasionally longer if the change touches something Google reviews on its own side — a business name change is more likely to get a second look than an hours update. So the right habit is: make the edit, check the preview, save, then check the live Google listing itself a few hours later rather than immediately, because an edit that hasn't shown up yet after ten minutes usually just hasn't propagated, not failed.
A second decision: what to fix first when everything's wrong at once
A profile inherited from a previous owner or agency sometimes arrives with several fields wrong at once — an old phone number, a category that doesn't match the current business, hours that were never updated after a relocation. Fixing all of it in one sitting feels efficient but risks a Google review flag if too much changes at once on a listing with a thin history, since large simultaneous changes to name, address and category together can read as suspicious to Google's own verification systems. The steadier approach is sequencing: fix the phone number and hours first, since those rarely trigger a second look, confirm they've gone live, then handle the category and name changes separately a few days later. It's slower, but it's the sequence less likely to trip a suspension review on a profile that's already fragile.
A worked case: a hospital chain in Chennai before Diwali
A three-location hospital chain in Chennai needed holiday hours set across all three listings before Diwali week, plus one location's OPD phone number had changed the month before and nobody had gotten around to fixing it on Google. Under the old workflow that meant three separate Google logins, three separate memory-jogs about which admin owned which listing, and a real chance the phone number fix slipped through the cracks entirely during a busy week. Instead, all three got their holiday hours and the one phone-number correction done from a single portfolio view, each with its own live preview, each pushed straight to Google without anyone touching business.google.com. The value here wasn't a new capability so much as the removal of everything that usually stops a busy team from doing something they already know they should do.
Where this doesn't help
A handful of fields still sit outside what Google's API exposes for write-back — attributes and service-area places are constrained by Google's own API limits rather than anything on this end, and the chat or messaging button isn't exposed by the Business Information API at all, so that specific toggle still has to be handled directly on Google. This also isn't a substitute for Google's own ownership and verification process; a suspended or unverified listing needs to clear that status with Google first, and the claiming and verifying a GBP guide is the right starting point for a listing that isn't in good standing yet — this tool augments and automates an already-owned profile, it doesn't replace the underlying account relationship with Google. And because edits aren't instant on Google's side, anyone expecting a live, real-time mirror of Google rather than a same-day one will occasionally be confused by a short lag between saving here and seeing it live.
What it connects to
Fresh, accurate fields feed directly into the Relevance and Freshness dimensions of Rank OS, and a category fixed here is often the exact fix that turns an Ask Maps visibility fail into a pass. For a business managing more than one location, the same editor sits inside the Agency OS portfolio view, so a holiday-hours update can be pushed to every listing that needs it from one screen instead of one at a time. Fields corrected here also feed the Insights & Performance read downstream — a wrong phone number showing flat calls next to healthy views is one of the more common false alarms Insights surfaces, and it traces back to exactly the kind of fix this editor handles. Once a category or NAP field is confirmed correct here, it's also worth checking against the citation matrix, since a mismatch on a third-party directory can undercut an otherwise correct Google listing. And because the write-back path is the same one used for Google Posts and review replies, once a business trusts this feature to actually reach Google, the rest of the platform's "does this really go live" question tends to answer itself.
